Get Out on the Water
The Tampa Bay waterways offer up some of the best views around the city. It’s easy to score a paddle board or kayak rental to be able to enjoy them yourselves or with your family. You can find rentals available at these three locations: the Marriott Water Street, the Grand Hyatt Bay, and the Current Hotel at Rocky Point. Looking for some extra fun? You can also reserve a spot with Kraken Cycleboats (they offer boozy, party boats rides!) to enjoy with a group as well.
Movie Night at the Drive-In
While many movie theaters are still closed, you can watch some of your favorite classics or new flicks at one of the local drive-in spots! All of these locations have been operating with Covid-19 precautions in place to ensure social distancing and keeping guests safe. Be sure to get there early to get the best parking spot, bring lots of cozy blankets and pillows for the trunk, and bring cash for concessions! It wouldn’t hurt to bring your own battery-operated, handheld radio either to broadcast the movie in your car. Here’s a few of the most popular drive-ins:
Silvermoon Drive-In Movie Theatre – Lakeland, FL
Joy-Lan Drive-In Theatre – Dade City, FL
Ruskin Family Drive-In Movie Theater– Ruskin, FL
Armature Works Drive-In Movie Theater (Pop-Up Location) – Tampa, FL
